On the Twenty Elegance
Elisha and I met near our respective offices in Toronto’s Financial District. We sat inside Brookfield Place on the steps of the old RBC building and went over the the details of Elisha and Nader’s big day. On the Twenty - elegant, blush gown - unique and perfect for the space, black bridesmaids dresses - perfection, May 2 - oooooh unpredictable and a very laid-back bride.
Well May 2nd arrived and it felt more like June 2 with buds starting to pop and daffodil’s and tulips in full bloom. The only thing wrong was that there was perhaps TOO much sun but hey I’m not complaining!
The gown was a light shade of pink and the champagne a few shades darker!
The first look was one of the best I have witnessed, Nader was blown away by the dress “WHOA that dress is amazing!” He may have mentioned it 100 more times during the course of the day! I even got a sneak peek into their lives when Elisha noticed that Nader’s suit was covered in cat hair!
I won’t soon forget the sight of a bride all dolled up lint rolling her groom under a vine covered trellis!
The bridesmaids were Elisha’s sister Tonya and best friend Amanda and they looked absolutely gorgeous in the black dresses, especially when they were beside Elisha in her stunning blush gown. They also proved that relaxed and helpful is the best course of action when taking on such a role.
With a ceremony led by a friend and their friends and family watching, Elisha and Nader said their I Do’s with big smiles on their faces and some laughter, rarely looking at anyone else but each other.
The reception was full of laughter and speeches that I'm sure won't be forgotten any time soon!
Even, Elisha's pug and Nader's cat made an appearance... albeit as lifesize pictures on sticks, care of Tonya! Just another reason to love this couple, they love their fur babies as much as I do! When the laughter ceased the beaming couple took to the dance floor to get lost in each other while those around them sipped coffee and chatted, no doubt about what a wonderful day it had been.
